Developing a digital twin prototype for the monitoring and maintenance management of the Smart Living Lab building on application

In order to use the digital models for the monitoring and maintenance management of the Smart Living Lab building, the Building2050 Group developed a digital twin prototype from the BIM models of the CELLS (Controlled Environments for Living Lab Studies) research infrastructure.

The objective is to establish real-time links between the BIM models and the platform which collects data from sensors installed in the infrastructure. The digital twin is accessible through virtual reality (VR) and allows different interactions, namely temperature visualization and the control of blinds and electric light.
